Physical Attributes: Brunette hair usually tied back that extends halfway down his back. Dull green eyes with dark rings under them from lack of sleep. It all combines to make a sexless form with lanky limbs and unhealthy weight that has clear sleep issues and diet problems. Add in his average height of 5'6” and you have yourself the textbook example of a nerd.

Occupation: Derik is, off the record, a hacker. Or, as he prefers to be called, a Cracker. A grey-hat by nature, Derik works online under the screen name “HxxFxx” (Hax Fox) to crack software and create illegal programs to do that which needs to be done by whoever pays top dollar.

Character Background/History:

Derik was born into a well-to-do family with lavish parents in political fields. As such he was always expected to be more than the average child. Especially after his sister was born and mother passed away. He learned to cope with stress easily in his childhood but also turned to keeping personal matters to himself to do so.
After his father remarried and another girl was born Derik withdrew further into himself. The new mother was happy to teach her daughters about make-up and dolls, leaving the eldest son to look on to an often-absent father for support. Eventually the quest to impress his father was abandoned, and a certain level of apathetic bitterness was born.
When the new stresses of high school and fitting in arose all hope was lost. Derik turned his wide allowance towards drugs, and without parents to actively care about how he lead his life, soon things became bleak.

As it is now, Derik is 19 years old and lives by himself in a middle-class apartment. His parents don't often call or inquire as to how he chose to live his life, as his last words to them were a dull decline to pick up his father's role as a political figure.
These days Hazel stays at home with blinds drawn, still relying on drugs to cope and keeping to himself in front of several hand-crafted computers. He still has full access to the family funds, but prefers to make his own money through his years-old passion of computers and cracking.
All of that is not as grand as he'd like though, as despite his freedom and ability to tinker without rest, there is still something plaguing him. Something that drives him closer to the supernatural every day. Precognition. And not the kind Derik has found himself able to control.

Equipment: Derik, who prefers to be called Hax (or Fox) to further support his androgyny, is never without a computer. He has two custom built desktops in his room, with three laptops. One for casual use and travel, one built specifically for waterproof function (for baths) and another built with a desktop's harddrive and other core pieces. It's a sure bet that he never leaves home without at least one computer with him. Outside this, he usually only carries casual gender-cloaking clothes and his wallet with two different IDs.

Precognition is uncontrolled and usually comes in something akin to panic attacks. Derik often times will freeze, shaking or hyperventilating before collapsing if not seated. The farther into the future the attacks are, the more violent the reaction (worst so far has been a mild seizure and passing out for a few hours afterwards).
The first and only attempt to control the attacks ended with a nosebleed and two-hour long headache. The visions are usually distorted, with audio and visual not matching and most scenes being only seconds long before switching to something else before ending.
